5×3 Index Cards

PoIC recommends to use quadrille index card, since its grid provides you the base writing format. You don’t need print the format from computer. Printing on index cards is not realistic, because PoIC will uses hundreds, thousands of index cards. You won’t need printer for PoIC.
The quadrille rule plays an key role for PoIC’s tagging procedure. In case you can’t find quadrille index cards, you can still use “plain” index cards. According to the reports from my friends in the world, it is difficult to get quadrille index cards. The plain index cards is available anywhere, and reasonable, too.
Q. So How much money I need to start PoIC?
A. 2-3 dollar.
For card box, you can use any box which can hold the index cards inside at this moment. In fact, I use kitchen tray for temporal card holder. I will show you Card Dock and modified Moleskine later.

I cannot find quality 3×5 graph cards here in the states. Do you know of a Japanese retailer that ships to the U.S. ?
-or- does anyone have any suggestions for u.s. based cards? I bought some from office/depot (not so good). The lines are never cut the same… makes it hard to find cards in dock.

Here is how I solved this problem.
I simply put some guide lines on the top of my index cards with a thin marker. Open the new deck of cards, line them up, draw on the top lines, and off you go.
BTW - I looked everywhere and could not find any index cards that are consistently cut. The only ones sold in the states are either Oxford or Esselte (same company) and the grids are inconsistent. There is a European company, Exacompta, that sells cards in the U.S., but the cards run a whopping $7/deck.

Office Depot in USA stocks Oxford grid index cards, $1.39 for 100. Available online and in stores.

Belay this suggestion; I looked at these cards and they are no good; the grid pattern is not consistent from one card to the other but the worse thing is that the lines are 1mm thick. Interferes with writing, hence interferes with thinking.
