The icPod : Color variation
Akiyo Kano shows how she modified a Moleskine Memo Pocket into icPod.
She use Japanese colored paper (千代紙) for decoration. She also use ribbon for side edge of the accordion. This is good not only for decoration, but also for protection.

awww thanks so much for your post, I am very honoured to be mentioned in your blog! :D
the process was made so much easier with your ICPod to base the design on, I only did the cosmetic stuff to it. And yes, you are quite correct, it’s not washi (as I claimed) but chiyogami! I think I bought it from Itoya couple of years ago when I was in Tokyo.
