The 43Tabs is brand new index cards system introduced by NozarashiTei-san. The 43Tabs provides a sophisticated way to capture and process GTD tasks. NozarashiTei-san proposes the “PoIC+43Tabs” system. Following is an information flow in the combined system.

- 43Tabs system (future to now) : This system handles information from “future” to “now”. The GTD, ToDo tasks belongs to this kind of information. The 43Tabs and PoIC is connected at “now”. They consists a single time axis runs through future, now, to past.
- Chronological Order (now to past) : We stack all information, Record, Discovery, GTD (processed in 43Tabs), and Cite, in chronological order. Just simply stack them. Do not classify, do not search, do not revise the order. Leave system complex.
- Task Force (past to here) : The accumulation of index cards in chronological order is not the end of whole process. When we see a pattern between index cards in the dock at a certain time, we organize “Task Force”. We pick up index cards from the dock and reuse them. The “Task Force” is understood as a process to pull back information from “past” to “here”.
- Reproduction (here to future) : We spread the Task Force on desktop to organize group, try to find patterns among them. We obtain new knowledge through this process. The results are feed-forward to our future. The results will change the future, although they may not always “GTD task”. Therefore, the space is connected to time, again.
From the view point of information flow in PoIC+43Tabs system, time-axis (lower half arc) and space-axis (upper half arc) are connected, and build up a full circle. What we see in PoIC+43Tabs is, perhaps, whole life of information.

hey hawk,
thank you sincerely for sharing your wisdom with the world. the POIC is a great gift to the online community and is appreciated by so very many.
however, those of us in the states feel a little ‘left in the dust,’ so to speak,
as recently some key amendments to the system have been explained
only in japanese.
for example, i can deduce the general concept of the 43 tabs system from
the website and diagrams, but the exact methodology remains a little unclear.
i also wish that us USA-POICers could have a second chance at purchasing some Correct goods. even a temporary re-opening of the POIC-store would be an amazing christmas gift for those of us who wish to better our productivity and creativity in the new year! thanks in advance for your consideration, and for all your good work.

Hi ksk. Thank you for your comments. :)
About the 43Tabs. First, I’m not sure to explain the detail of the 43Tabs at my blog or wiki by me. Because I think honor of the 43Tabs is of NozarashiTei-san. He made it. So it must be done on his place, basically.
Second, it is not totally easy to translate from Japanese to English. Ttranslation from English to Japanese is much easier in my case. When I write in English, I try to think in English. I think your expectation for translation of 43Tabs concept that is originally written in Japanese to English will load huge effort on NozarashiTei-san (and/or me).
Here is plan B. We translate Japanese to English by using robot like google translation. It is not always “perfect” english, it must be corrected by native English speakers. I need your help to do this. I’m totally O.K. to provide PoIC Wiki space to work on this assignment. First of all, however, we need to confirm the permissions to NozarashiTei-san, of course. Personally, I think the 43Tabs is really great system worth to share the idea with the world.
I need comments.
About Christmas gift. O.K. Let’s think about it positively. Recently, I discussed about this with Jazzmasterson, too, at PoIC workshop. So now I believe there are needs for Correct goods. It is pleasure for me to send christmas gift to PoIC users. I will announce about PoIC-store on this blog soon.
